We were delighted to welcome All-Ireland Champions to the school recently. Congratulations to Jack Galway, 5th class, who claimed All-Ireland glory at the National Boy Boxing Championships in the National Stadium in Dublin recently. Jack (11) who is only boxing a few months, competed in the Boy 1, 72Kg category. He came out on top after a thrilling and exciting match. Great credit is due to his trainers in Ballyduff Amateur Boxing club – John O’ Regan and Frankie O’Brien. Ballyduff Amateur Boxing Club had 2 other winners at the event – Charlie Fitzgerald and Cathal Enright. The club has now won 14 national titles in thirty years. A great achievement! Well done to all!
