Congratulations to Chloe Egan, Senior Infants, who won 1st prize in a colouring competition run by Bathrooms 4U in Manor West, Tralee. Over 60 Kerry Primary schools took part and Chloe won the Junior & Senior Infants Category. Her prize was a Samsung Galaxy tablet! She was presented with her tablet by Kerry footballer, David Moran.

Junior and Senior Infants had a very special visitor today – Mike the Mechanic. Mike O’ Carroll has a garage in Ballyduff and his son David is in Junior Infants. The infants had been learning about the work of a mechanic and decided to invite Mike into the classroom to talk to a real mechanic. Mike told them all about his work in the garage and brought in a variety of tools which were passed around. He patiently answered their many questions before heading off to work himself. It was a very proud day for David having his dad in the classroom. Many thanks to Mike for taking the time out of his busy day to come and chat to the children.

3rd/4th class took part in the Go Games Blitz in Ballyduff today. Great fun was had by all.

First and second class had a super day out on their school tour. They spent the day in Crag Caves and also got to enjoy a bird show!

Junior & Senior Infants had a fantastic day on their school tour. Listowel was the venue and the day kicked off in the Community Centre where the children enjoyed a variety of activities such as inflatables, soccer, parachute games and a treasure hunt. Thank you to Áine Elbell who had everything organized for us and to our super leaders – Dillon, Laura, Chris and Louise. The playground was a great attraction as well and thankfully the day stayed fine. After lunch it was off to the cinema to see the movie ‘Sing’ which captivated the young audience and had them singing along to great songs like ‘I’m still standin’, ‘Shake it off’ and ‘Bamboleo’. Thank you to Pat who was our bus driver for the day.
