Barn dance fever!
Yee-haw! Barn dance fever hits Sliabh a’ Mhadra! All set for our Barn Dance fundraiser in the Hopper on Saturday 20th.
WOW Day 2017
WOW (Walk On Wednesday) season kicked off this morning with many of our pupils taking advantage of the lovely morning and walking to school. Children from Green Schools all over Ireland show their support for a greener, healthier environment by taking part in Walk to School Days. This morning children from junior infants to 6th class were dropped off at the cross or McHales timber yard and walked to school from there. This will continue every Wednesday until the end of June, weather permitting.

Today was our annual Skipathon day in school. With skipping ropes in hand, it was off to the yard for everyone from Junior Infants to 6th class.
Skipathon is a combined fundraising and health promotion activity run by the Irish Heart Foundation. The charity supports those fighting heart disease/stroke and promotes the importance of physical activity in children. As well as raising money for the Irish Heart Foundation, it was a very enjoyable and active day. Thanks to everyone who brought in €1.
