The Parents’ Association would like to thank, most sincerely, all those that gave up their time and contributed to the Christmas bake sale on the 18th December.
The amount raised on the day was €500. This will go a long way in supporting services for the school.
Our ‘Garden of Remembrance’ hangs proudly inside the front door. All our pupils added a flower to the garden. Each flower contains the names of our loved ones who have passed away and who we fondly remember during the month of November as we come and go from school each day. We pray they are enjoying eternal happiness with God in Heaven.
Majella Forde from the Irish Red Cross visited Sliabh a’ Mhadra N.S. today to accept a cheque on behalf of the Syrian Refugee Fund. Our pupils contributed €255 which was the proceeds from their ‘Jersey Day’ in September. Majella explained to the pupils how the money would go directly to aid workers in the regions of Europe accepting Refugees. She also outlined how she got involved with the Red Cross and what her duties entail as an ambulance driver and crew member. A remarkable person! Well done everyone!

Once again Sliabh a’ Mhadra families showed remarkable generosity when today, 113 Christmas boxes were handed over to a Team Hope representative! The boxes will shortly be on their way to needy children in Africa or Eastern Europe, just in time for Christmas. Well done everyone. Remarkable!
