The time has come to say ‘Slán’ to the class of 2020. Unfortunately their final year in Sliabh a’ Mhadra was cut short due to Covid 19. However we hope they have fond memories of their 8 years in Sliabh a’ Mhadra and we thank them for all they have contributed to our school. We wish them every success in the next chapter of their education. Dream big!

Congratulations to everyone who took part in Virtual Sports Week. It was great to see you all having so much fun. Many thanks to Mr. O’Connor, Mrs. Lyons and Ms. McCarthy for organising the events and producing the videos.
School closure has given Darragh James, 5th class, the opportunity to try his hand at gardening. He planted his own window box and is now waiting patiently for flowers to appear. It should be in full bloom for the summer. Well done Darragh!
Our thoughts are very much with our 2nd class children this weekend. This was to be the weekend that they made their First Holy Communion but unfortunately due to Covid 19 it has been postponed. Hopefully it will be rescheduled in the not too distant future.
We feel truly disappointed for you, your families and your teacher Ms. Lynch as we know how much you were all looking forward to this very special day. The main thing at the moment is that we stay safe. Keep saying your prayers. There will be brighter days ahead. When the time is right we will celebrate your First Holy Communion in style!
