We had a very busy first term here at Sliabh A’ Mhadra NS!

We waved farewell to Mrs Goulding who retired at the end of September and a beautiful school Mass was celebrated in her honour.

The boys’ football team was victorious in their County Shield Final and we all dressed up for Hallowe’en, raising a great amount for the Trick or Treat Children’s Foundation.

We took part in fun activities during Maths Week and Science Week and focused on good health and nutrition during Healthy Eating Week. Our Shoebox Appeal for Christmas was very successful with lots of generous donations made.

In December, the Causeway Senior Hurlers brought the Neilus Flynn Cup to the school, we welcomed Santa and Mrs Claus to kick off the Christmas season and pupils from 3rd to 6th class performed a very special Carol Service in Ballyduff Church. Our Credit Union Art winners were also announced, well done to those who won and to all who participated.

The Parents’ Association kept us all sweet with a terrific Bake Sale and with their Christmas Raffle Draw too!
