Once again we are hosting a Book Fair in our school.  A Book Fair is a celebration of reading that puts the very best books directly into our pupils’ hands. Scholastic Book Company will supply our school with mobile bookcases packed with over 200 of the newest and best books from over sixty publishers to sell to our pupils to help them develop a life-long love of reading. There’s sure to be a book for everyone!

The books are due to arrive on Wednesday February 28th.  The children will be given time to view these books on Thursday and Friday. We won’t start selling until Friday. You are invited to visit the school to view for yourself the super book selection on:

Friday 2nd March from   3.00pm – 4.00pm.

Tuesday 6th March from 3.00pm. – 4.00pm.

                                                  7.30pm. – 8.30pm.

By supporting the Book Fair you are also supporting the school. For every book you buy we earn commission which helps buy new books for the school library. But remember you are not under any obligation to purchase a book.

Thursday March 1st is World Book Day and to mark the occasion every child in full time education is given a voucher to the value of €1.50 which can be used as part payment in the purchase of a book valued €3.99 or more.  This can be done through the School Book Fair or at various book stores i.e. O’ Mahony’s, Easons and Polymath, Tralee.

Books can be bought online at http://schools.scholastic.ie/s-n-sliabh-a-mhadra at anytime during the year.

The voucher is valid until March 25th – if you do not intend using the voucher please return it to the school as we will find use for it.

Looking forward to a successful Book Fair.

Rebecca Spellman and Cathal White
